Design first, built to match

I'm a local Austin designer — I fell in love with this work renovating my own homes, and now I do it for other people's.

Every home I take on starts with the same question: how do you want to feel when you walk in the door? From there I build the plan, the palette and the punch list. The build runs alongside licensed general contractors and artisans I've chosen carefully, and I'm on site through all of it — so the drawing you fall in love with is the room you get, with no compromises made behind your back.

Full-service interior design

Space planning, custom millwork, materials, furniture and the final styled shelf. I source widely — vintage, local makers, the odd flea-market find — so nothing looks catalogue-ordered.

Renovation & contracting

I manage the build with licensed, insured general contractors and trades I've chosen carefully. Kitchens, baths, whole-home reworks and additions — one point of contact, one schedule, one person answering the phone.

    Walk-through

I come to you, look at the bones, and talk honestly about scope and budget before anyone signs anything.

  2. 02

    Design & drawings

Plans, elevations, a full material palette and a furniture plan you can hold in your hands. Two revision rounds built in.

  3. 03

    Build

Licensed contractors I've vetted, working to my schedule, with weekly photo updates. You always know what happens next week and what it costs.

  4. 04

    Install & style

Furniture in, art hung, last coat of wax on the counters. I leave when it feels finished, not when the punch list ends.

Meet the studio

Hi — I'm the person you'll actually be working with.

I bought and renovated my house while I was going through cancer treatment, and somewhere in the dust I fell completely in love with the work — the drawings, the demolition, the moment the light finally lands right. The Prickly Pear Collected came out of that. It's just me: a handful of homes at a time, so I can be on every site, answer my own emails, and sweat the details that make a house feel collected rather than decorated.

I love a hard-working kitchen, a deep porch, plaster with a little movement in it, and anything that gets better as it wears.
